Computers
Facing problem of costly ab initio calculations and exponentially growing enormous amount of genomic data, the computer power is very important factor for bioinformatics research. For large compute-intensive jobs we use our computer cluster of 16 processors (Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz).
We conduct our calculations also at the Computing Center of Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University (at this time, one of the most powerful cluster in Poland) - where currently over 100 processors (64-bit AMD Opteron 246) are available for our needs.
